Actually, it is like your city itself within another city, offering museums and gardens, not to mention theaters and, naturally, plenty of green spaces to explore. For instance, the Fleet Science Center might be cool for hands-on exhibits that make learning so fun; kids nearly can’t get enough of it. Of course, strolling through the Japanese Friendship Garden really is like stepping into a painting – the tranquility is so real. Basically, the Natural History Museum may also be ideal if you have curious minds wanting to know a lot about the world. In a way, this space has so much to do, that you might want to plan for more than just one visit.

When I think of Balboa Park, anyway, I remember a family trip where we saw a street performer juggling flaming torches – that, and my kids were simply awestruck. In other words, it really is one of those places that will give you something new and different every single time you go, alright? Well, make time to explore at your own pace, and pack a picnic to enjoy by the Botanical Building. Definitely, that building is another little gem that is too great to miss.
