History buffs—this one’s for you. Check out the USS Midway Museum, a real aircraft carrier you can walk around and explore. In fact, there is some great stuff that they have there. Apparently, it’s sitting right on San Diego’s Embarcadero and offers up a real close encounter with naval aviation history. Almost as though, it seems you will see cockpits, hear stories from people that have served on the ship, and tour these different parts of the vessel. As a matter of fact, I found out that you’ll get to see dozens of aircraft, and maybe even take the flight simulator for an experience which is super immersive. Very important to know is that the Midway brings history to life.

To go out for the evening, head to the Gaslamp Quarter. Just a little bit south of downtown San Diego is the Gaslamp Quarter, with these amazing buildings and an energetic environment to stroll around. You could say it is a historic neighborhood bursting with all kinds of cool restaurants, unique boutiques, and some very fancy places for drinks. The location seems super animated, with street performers plus locals which are all out having fun, and you might just catch some events or concerts going on, depending on the evening.
