Cozumel Carnival Cruise: Top 5 Fun Activities

Cozumel Carnival Cruise

So, you’re heading to Cozumel on a Carnival cruise? Lucky you! Cozumel, an island paradise, it’s almost got a bunch to offer. We are talking powdery sands and turquoise water to ancient Mayan ruins and some seriously tasty eats. Getting off that cruise ship and exploring what this fantastic island is that is the way to make some awesome memories. So, here are the top five activities that should, you know, definitely be on your radar when you hit the shores of Cozumel!

1. Discovering Underwater Worlds: Snorkeling and Scuba Diving

Cozumel Snorkeling

Cozumel is that it is basically known for its unreal underwater scenes. It’s the place where Jacques Cousteau himself did a bit of his exploring, that’s something! You can’t visit without checking out the reefs. Palacar Reef is that it is just super popular, yet for pretty darn good reason. It’s got all kinds of colorful fish, sea turtles, and the coral formations, you see, are mind-blowing. You can grab a snorkeling tour right from the cruise port, or maybe you want to go for a real experience and go scuba diving? You’ll find options for every skill level, that’s how easy it is to plan a trip.

That diving here, well, imagine crystal-clear waters where you can actually see like a hundred feet. Seriously, that’s the average visibility, very, very, pretty cool. The reefs are also a part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, which, you see, is actually the second-biggest in the world! The marine life around these parts, too, you see, is out of this world, so if you get a kick out of underwater photography, this spot is, that, like your playground.

2. Exploring Mayan History: San Gervasio Ruins

San Gervasio Ruins

Want a small change from the beach? Head over to San Gervasio, you know, the Mayan ruins on the island. These ruins used to be that they were a sacred spot for the Mayans, especially those that worshipped the goddess Ixchel. It is almost a super neat place that can walk around and see these old structures, and kind of learn a bit more about Mayan history. That they aren’t as big as Chichen Itza, yet they’re still a real part of the story of Cozumel. You’ll almost likely want to go for that guided tour to, very, hear the awesome stories and some pretty cool facts.

What makes San Gervasio special, it is that it gives that more private and engaging kind of feeling, especially if you’re, very, more the type that isn’t into crazy, crazy big crowds. The history that is hanging around here, though, still can be felt pretty heavily, very much. Just imagine that you’re actually stepping where the Mayan pilgrims once were stepping hundreds of years back! In a way, pretty wild, is that not it?

3. Relaxing and Playing at Passion Island (Isla Pasion)

Isla Pasion

For a real day of pure relaxation, why don’t you head off to Passion Island, it’s a sweet escape. Passion Island is also called Isla Pasion, so keep that in mind. We are talking about white sandy beaches, shallow waters, very calm too it’s almost, you know, ideal for, we are talking about relaxing in the sun. You’ll be able to usually book some sort of day trip that has it so it comes right from your cruise ship. The cruise line gets you on over there. Think, very much, about kicking back with a cool drink, and that white sand and a calm sea air blowing all of it, that would just wash away everything. Sounds pretty perfect, if you ask me!

Passion Island, too it’s almost, very much like a spot that isn’t really built-up so it gets lots and lots of people or anything, because the experience isn’t ruined. It’s much the same in feeling that it is pretty private and really, really serene. It is perfect, basically, for honeymooners that really just want to unwind, or families too that are just basically needing a slower kind of spot and, right, shallow water, to where the young kids could wade around. All around, very simple, that that day over there might, actually, be the high point of your cruise, for sure.

4. Experiencing Local Flavors: A Food Tour

Cozumel Food Tour

Okay, you like that, is that what it is? Here is another one! Want to taste some of the real, really local stuff? Definitely try and grab one of the food tours around town. I can really recommend this for some, actually, good reasons. I want to make sure, very, much that, if you like your actual taste, your true food, and not that food that, of course, is targeted right at tourist places, this is something that is definitely for you. We are talking about trying tacos with stuff like cochinita pibil, which is some awesome Yucatan pork thing, also the seafood over there, yet. Check some different spots to see what makes everyone tick, taste the island culture.

A food tour might make you find that that the very tastiest eats you’re, really, going to try on your vacation just happens that you got it when some, literally, random, actually, person over there just pointed at that particular street food stand to tell them what their pick was. Seriously, that really works! Plus, by eating locally, the food experience, naturally, helps some pretty good benefits too for some local businesses to make the whole visit just better!

5. Beach Fun and Chilling: Playa Mia Grand Beach Park

Playa Mia Grand Beach Park

Want that one spot that does it all? Playa Mia is also Grand Beach Park should do the trick! Is that one of your ideas that I hit on right now? Think of it! We are talking like an all-inclusive deal there with, actually, food, open bar, a water park for both kiddos, yet. Even the people that are “big kiddos” – or we could, right, just label them as ‘adults’. Very much, everyone always, seriously, needs that, especially when on a long trip with others like family, relaxing at the beach, is something everyone always loves. Want to snorkel over there? Right. You are, actually, even wanting to paddle boat over there? All things considered, yes!

Playa Mia gives something so, very, much for anyone! Do not go around actually, acting like anyone doesn’t get bored! If it’s not right over there or is, actually, a day just wanting fun just right around in that one spot, everyone, as a matter of fact, just is going to feel they made that cruise money a very, great value. I really, really, think, this is the reason why families very much find themselves constantly going back over here every time that they visit the islands!
