Chicago, it seems, is very a place packed to the gills with fascinating stuff to see and do. So, picking just five “must-see” spots can almost feel criminal, but here goes, basically: I’m giving you my top picks for places you simply shouldn’t miss when you’re checking out this incredible metropolis. 1. Millennium Park: More Than Just ‘The Bean’

Alright, I have to start with Millennium Park. Now, you probably already know that it is very home to “The Bean,” properly named Cloud Gate, a truly wild sculpture that, too it’s almost, looks like liquid mercury and reflects the whole cityscape. Honestly, photos don’t even really do it justice; seeing it in person, well, it’s a totally different thing. You have, maybe, the Crown Fountain, that, arguably, is this utterly unique video sculpture where the faces of Chicago residents are projected onto two tall towers, and they even seem to spit water at you—which, as a matter of fact, it is kind of funny, and actually great on a hot summer day. You will, that, tends to be, find gardens, free concerts at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, and just plenty of spots to sit and chill and people-watch. Spending an afternoon there? I have always loved just window shopping, even if I am, sort of, on a super strict budget; it’s quite just fun to check out those awesome displays and feel that, very, Chicago energy. 5. Museum of Science and Industry: Get Your Geek On

Okay, I’ve got something for your inner science geek. If that’s more up your street. Then that Museum of Science and Industry, it seems, is really super worth the trip. They usually, so it seems, have super interactive exhibits; right, you, may be, could actually go inside of a real U-505 German submarine or wander around a replica of a coal mine.
