At the top of Mount Machincang lies a bridge called Langkawi Sky Bridge. The bridge was completed in 2004 and hanging by a single pylon, 82metres, with the height about 100 m above the ground. This is one of the unique curved bridges in Malaysia that spans 125 metres. It also consists of two triangles platform with 3.6 metres wide respectively and 1.8 metres wide.

The Cable Car only takes about 15 minutes for visitor to reach to the Peak of Mount Machincang or Gunung Mat Cincang. Malaysia, locally call it Gunung means mountain. While the name Mat Cincang was unclear. However, there was a legend said that Gunung Mat Cincang was originally refer to three locals named, Mat Cincang, Mat Raya and Mat Sawar. Three of them was very close and study martial art at the same time. Till one day, Mat Raya’s son who was interested to marrying Mat Cincang daughter, created fight between two families. This is because Mat Cincang doesn’t accept Mat Raya’s son that said to have bad characters. Despite reluctant, the wedding did take place. Unfortunately, during the wedding feast, big fight broke out between Mat Cincang and Mat Raya.

Several pots and pans, plus other kitchen utensils were sent flying at each other's family. The gravy from the broken pot spilled into the ground at Kisap and stopped at Kuah, Langkawi's capital. Malaysia locally call, kuah means gravy. All when out of control only until Mat Sawar intervene and both parties agree to settle. Therefore, both parties agree to transform themselves including Mat Sawar to the present forms. However the actual reason for transformation was unclear. The Mount Sawar is situated between Mount Machincang and Mount Raya, symbolizes as to prevent fight between Mat Cincang and Mat Raya as in legends.

The Cable Car was constructed in April 2001 and completed in August 2012, about 16 months. During the construction period, there was no road built within the mountain. Imagine how difficult the construction was. However, all of its elements had to be lifted to the top of the mountain only by helicopter and was later assembled to its current position. It was officially opened to public visit in 2003 and was managed by Panorama Langkawi Cable Car.
