Description:

 

     A bowl of good Asam Laksa should be sourly appetizing which complements the sweet taste of the mackerel flakes. A separate portion of brownish prawn paste is normally served for one to mix in, together with all the ingredients that will bring out the noodle flavor to its maximum.

     Some of the Asam laksa variant are Penang Laksa (mackerel-based soup), Perlis laksa (garnish were a bit different), Kedah laksa (add boiled egg) and Kangsar laksa (use lighter soup, other district are thicker).
