San Pedro Festival

  San Pedro Festival is one of Malaysian yearly festival which is held in the state of Malacca in the month of June. This festival is celebrated by the Portugese Eurasian community to commemorate the feast of St. Peter which is observed on June 29. Eurasian is a mixed of European and Asian parentage, and they are also called Kristang community (mixed Portuguese and Malaccan Malay). During the festival, statue of St. Peter is carried around the Portugese settlement from the church.
